The Golden Thread, My Cash Cannon, Week 1 Results…

I implemented my cash cannon using The Golden Thread program developed by Michael Cheney on only one of my websites.  This website is an affiliate review site for a Clickbank product that is in the baby niche. 

I have had this website since last June and really started promoting it in September 2007.  From September 2007 - July 2008 I averaged about $175 - $200 per month in affiliate sales.  On it’s own this may not seem like much, but I was happy with this because it is only one of more than 15 affiliate review sites I have and it simply added to the income that allows me to spend so much time with my family. 

When Michael offered to use this baby site as a case study to see what would happen to an already established website with traffic of about 500 visitors a month I was excited to see what could happen. 

After doing absolutely nothing to the site except add a cash cannon the first week floored me… in 6 days I got 7 sales.  In the previous 10 months the most sales I got in a month was 8 and here I got 7 sales in 6 days. 

Something you must understand about this is that I have not promoted this site in months.  I have done nothing with it.  After adding my cash cannon, I still did not promote the site.  I did not increase the traffic in anyway.  I did absolutely nothing except add my cash cannon. 

Then a sale came in one day, two the next, another on the next day… I got at least 1 sale in 5 of the 6 days.  That is huge!!!  I have always been happy to simply get 2 sales a week and for the first time ever I got 7 sales in one week. 

Here are the full traffic and conversion results for the week…

Total website visits = 141
Total clicks from my site to the affiliate sales site = 36
Clickthru Rate (36/141)= 26%
Total sales = 7
Click from my site to sale Rate (7/36) = 23%
Total visitors to sale rate (7/141)= 5%

I am on track to earn almost $900 for the month… and all I did was make one simple change to my website… I implemented The Golden Thread program and added a cash cannon… WOW! 

I am so excited about this and can’t wait to see future results… I wil definately keep you posted so you can see how this unfolds as time goes on!!!

Hi. Shannon. I think I was there when Micheal laucnhed his Cash Cannon, but at the time I didn’t have the funds. Well I wasn’t really surpised that it sold out that quickly, but now I’m at a lost. Really the only thing I was trying to get were the sales letters. I’m horrible at adcopy.

I’m also wondering do you utilize your own autoresponder like aweber? I have my own products and just need to get the ball up and rolling. I figured I may come to you because you were in a very similiar situation. I’m getting burnt out and not seeing the result that I want.(at all)

I’m at the point where I’m about to beg. But I’m keeping my composure for now. Please let know what I need next. If I have to download another product and go through another ebook I’m going to be sick.

Hi Marq,

Yes, I utilize GetResponse for my autoresponders and have never had a problem with them. However, I have been told that Aweber is also very good.
