After the second week of this case study, the results are not as fun as the first week’s were… but in any type of marketing effort there are ups and downs and you have to track your results so that you know what to tweak when the time comes…

Up front let me tell you that I am still absolutely ecstatic and excited and amazed at how well implementing a “cash cannon” has been for my baby niche site, but the results just aren’t as good this week. Here they are for you…

Total website visits = 192
Total clicks from my site to the affiliate sales site = 53
Clickthru Rate (53/192)= 28%
Total sales = 2
Clicks from my site to sale Rate (2/53) = 3.8%
Total visitors to sale rate (2/192)= 1.04%

Wow… compared to last week, those numbers really just aren’t as fun to look at. However there are some positives we can take from week 2 of The Golden Thread baby niche case study…

The clickthru rate of people visiting my little one page site is still very strong at 28%… that is actually 2% higher than the first week. So we know that the video is working and getting people interested in heading over to the sales page to take a look. But why aren’t they actually buying like they did the first week? There are many, many factors that could be considered, but just so that I feel like I have some control over my results, I am going to assume that it has nothing to do with the sales letter I’m sending people to and instead it has something to do with my site.

With this in mind I am going to make some changes to my page and my cash cannon video this week and we will see how that plays out… we’ll see if we can get the sales back up again and again next week, I will post my results to this blog… so stay tuned for that.

Before I head back to play with the boys however I would like to mention that even with only 2 sales this week, I am at 9 sales in 14 days which is approximately $230 and is still on track for $500 for the month… with no list, not a lot of traffic and no additional traffic generating methods done. Aside from adding my cash cannon video to the site in the beginning, this coming week is going to be the first time I have done anything with the site.
