Log Into Websites Automatically

Hello Everyone,

Since releasing Video Cash Explosion on Wednesday I’ve had a few people ask me…

“I was watching your videos and I’m wondering, what is that software you use when you go to secure websites?  The one that pops up and looks like maybe it fills in your username/password for you?”

I guess I have been using this software for so long now (about 4 or 5 years) that I didn’t even think about mentioning it before.  I thought I’d pass it onto everyone in case you want something that will remember all your username/password combinations for you :)

Simply go to www.Roboform.com - you can download a trial version of the software (I think it lets you save 10 username/password combinations) for free and then it is only $29.95 to buy if you choose to do that.

The best part about using this software (rather than saving your username/passwords in Firefox or IE) is that you have to create a “master” password for the software so you can have access to your passwords.  This means that people can’t just hack into your computer and get the combinations.

I wanted to let everyone know about this to make your lives a little easier and so you can stop carrying around that little notebook with all your usernames and passwords… I gave up mine a long time ago :)

Only issue I have found with this sort of plan, is when your computer crashes. I still keep my notebook with all my passwords (in my own special code - you can’t just type in what’s there. lol)
I have a blue notebook for business and a green one for games.
I’ve tried the software route, but prefer to keep my notebooks too. I keep them in a draw right by my desk, that way they don’t get lost.
Plus we have a large external drive that’s used for backups. I have my own folder and put all my back up info into it. It’s also password protected and has to be accessed via the main pc which is also password protected. lol
But with a home network, that’s the best way to go. If any of our computers crash, our data is backed up. We just have to reinstall the software.
Music, images & photos, doc & pdf files…everything is backed up on the external PLUS it’s also saved to a rewritable CD too.
When it comes to data you can never be too careful.

Thanks for that comment Matt!

You are right, computers can fail so if you want you should keep a copy of the important ones somewhere safe (off the computer).

You seem to have yourself covered very well Matt!

Best Wishes,
Shannon

Here’s some info for online storage which some might find easier to do. Great way to make sure you keep photos & other items you want to keep, but want access to via any pc.

These are some online storage businesses.

http://www.xdrive.com/storage.jsp
http://www.shutterfly.com
http://www.idrive.com
http://www.adrive.com

these are just a few, you have to go and check them out to see if what they offer will fill the needs you have.

Hope this offers an alternative for some of your readers to back up their data files.

Thanks, my mom taught me to always be prepared. Especially when it comes to emergencies, tech issues and financial security.
