Are You the Tortoise or the Hare?

I’ve been in many, many, many discussions lately with people who want to make money RIGHT NOW TODAY and want to know if I can help them.

Now you must understand that these people not only want to make money right now, they want to make full-time income money right now… they want $5000/month right now! Some even want $100,000 a year right now! They are sick of programs that don’t produce immediate results, they want it right now.

Wow, the only way I know of to do this is to win the lottery! I guess if you have a rich relative, that is another way. But for the rest of us, can we please move back into the real world for a few minutes?

I know times are tough right now. I know that people are scared, are worried about their jobs and their bills. This makes you anxious wanting results, big results, right now. Please try to take a step back and look at a bigger picture for a few minutes.

An online business is not going to give you an immediate full-time income. You must first complete some work, follow a system. Most importantly, follow a system to the end, through completetion. Be the tortoise.

Does that mean it will take a year for you to replace your income? NO!  Six months?  NO, not if you are doing your work!  Three months?  Depends on how much work you put into your business! 

Depending on how much time you put into your business, following the system you have chosen to follow, you can have a full-time income rather quickly if you like. But this is still the path of the tortoise. Slow and steady wins the race, but I’m gonna change that and say…

Everyday consistency with your business, with your plan, whether you do this fast or slow, will win the race for you every single time! Look at the bigger picture!

The people that have been asking me, “how do I create $5000/month right now, in the next week?” are Hares and they never seem to finish the race.  Slow down, calm down and be the tortoise!

Follow a system… more importantly, complete that system all the way through to the finish line and then rinse and repeat!

You will see success along the way to your big goal… don’t forget to celebrate these small successses along the way! These successes will keep you motivated to staying on your same path.

People’s money fears coupled with a “fast food” mentality causes many people to give up before they even get started.

You make a good point about following a system and your’s is one of the best I’ve seen so far.

You’ve made it very clear that your success didn’t happen overnight. I don’t know why anyone else would assume theirs would either. Thank you so much for pointing out the obvious and reminding people that it does take efforts on their part to really make it work. Really, it doesn’t get much easier that what you are offering anyway. I know that people need quick fixes so they can move on to other things, but that’s when the miss the real pleasure in being successful. So far I could not be happier with Video Cash Explosion (yes I called it by its real name instead of http://EasyButtonVideo.com like I said in the testimonial)! It does everything you say it does, plus it allows me to take the files and do a little tweaking on my own if I want to experiment… your system is out of the box ready for people to start making money immediately, since all it takes is a niche to devote your time in.

Once you have created the video files, I found it is a good idea to use a submitter to send them out to a lot of video sites to get even more traffic to my video, which then gets me more affiliate sales! My biggest hangup was the making of the videos, but with your script and powerpoint templates the hardest part was taken away from me!

Expect to see a LOT of videos from me in the search results now that I have nothing holding me back!

One of your best posts Shannon…

This is the core problem of most folks seeking inline income. They seem to equate the speed of getting online with getting money. Why shouldn’t it be just as fast? (sigh)

A friend of mine’s wife bought a thousand dollar+ ‘make money online program’ and paid extra to get mentoring from the ‘Guru.’

Her hubby bragged to me that she would QUICKLY replace her regular income with $5000 or $6000 a month online in 60 days. (I was skeptical especially when I heard what the program was.)

Anyway, that was August of 2008. Care to guess how much she’s made since then? Go ahead, guess….

Zero.

She’s already abandoned the program and is on to something else.

Maybe I misunderstood. Maybe her goal was to SPEND $5000 or $6000 a month :-)

I simply wanted to put it out there because it seems people need to get a “business” mentality rather than a “lottery” mentality.

Not that I have never dreamed of instant money myself, we all have :)

Just got your Video Cash Explosion program and I’m starting to implement things. I’m very impressed and look forward to relaying to you all my success because of your help. Slow and steady just seems the logical way. But there are questions which is why I’m posting here, such as how long does one give a web site to show potential before moving on to a new option. In other words not every market is going to work, wrong keywords, seasonal product, poor message what ever. Do you have any rules on when to cut out a bad site and not waste any more time on it? And how many web sites did it take you to create a full time income? Obviously every situation will be different but I’m curious. Thanks, in this age of the fast buck you seem so genuine and caring.
