I’m Here :)
Aloha everyone!!!
It has been a long, tiring few weeks, but we are officially moved into a temporary place on Maui!!! We sold all our furniture, most of our belongings, packed up suitcases, took a road trip from Montana to Oregon to see my sister’s family (including my new Nephew, Noah), then up to Seattle to drop off the SUV for shipment and on a flight to Oahu (where our dogs had to go through quarantine). Lastly, onto Maui where we stayed at an amazing B&B for a while so we could find a place to live.
We ended up in a condo for the time being. It is a little small, but would allow all three dogs, that that was important. It is a nice complex with a dog park and walking distance to the beach so actually an amazing deal!!! We are going to continue to look for a place, but this is great for a temporary place :)
Now that you know more on what I have been up to for the last few weeks, lets talk a little about what is really important to you :) Over the next week I will finish (finally) my series on “my week” by posting the details for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. No, I have not been following this schedule for the last 3 weeks, but will be getting back on it later this week :)
There is something amazing I want every one of you to know about my business and what has happened in the last 3 weeks. You MUST understand that I have not done any work (except answer helpdesk questions, something I wasn’t able to do very well for about a week there, I’m sorry for the delays that some people experienced) for 3 weeks. Absolutely no promotional work, no building new sites, no maintenance work, I have done absolutely nothing to move my business forward. You know what happened to my income over this time span? It was amazing!!!
Prior to the move, I was earning an average of $466/day… give or take a bit everyday. When I promote my business, building a new site everyweek, promoting existing sites, I typically increase my income by $15 - $20/day. During the last three weeks it has been interesting to watch what has happened. The first week and a half, my income went up just like normal (from residual effects), in the last week and a half however it basically maintained a consistent level. So, I didn’t work for 3 weeks and still averaged, $494/day for the three weeks!!!
This is amazing!!! Do you realize what this means??? Build up your business, work on it consistently, maintain a strong foundation and when the time comes for you to take a vacation, or just some time off, you will know that while you are away, your buisness is still growing, is still bringing in money for you day in and day out. If you work your business, truly treat it like a business, it will at some point work for you and that is an amazing feeling that is indescribable!!!
This lesson is the biggest one I can offer you from my experiences lately so really take it to heart and follow my advice… work your business like a business and it will eventually work for you!!! I’ll talk to you soon!
Best Wishes,
Shannon

Have wondered how your move went. Maui is lovely. Your daily program is something I plan to attempt to follow. I must make sure I get the whole week together so I can have it at my side and in focus. All the best from Australia!
