I’m Here :)

Aloha everyone!!!

It has been a long, tiring few weeks, but we are officially moved into a temporary place on Maui!!!  We sold all our furniture, most of our belongings, packed up suitcases, took a road trip from Montana to Oregon to see my sister’s family (including my new Nephew, Noah), then up to Seattle to drop off the SUV for shipment and on a flight to Oahu (where our dogs had to go through quarantine).  Lastly, onto Maui where we stayed at an amazing B&B for a while so we could find a place to live.

We ended up in a condo for the time being.  It is a little small, but would allow all three dogs, that that was important.  It is a nice complex with a dog park and walking distance to the beach so actually an amazing deal!!!  We are going to continue to look for a place, but this is great for a temporary place :)

Now that you know more on what I have been up to for the last few weeks, lets talk a little about what is really important to you :)  Over the next week I will finish (finally) my series on “my week” by posting the details for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  No, I have not been following this schedule for the last 3 weeks, but will be getting back on it later this week :)

There is something amazing I want every one of you to know about my business and what has happened in the last 3 weeks.  You MUST understand that I have not done any work (except answer helpdesk questions, something I wasn’t able to do very well for about a week there, I’m sorry for the delays that some people experienced) for 3 weeks.  Absolutely no promotional work, no building new sites, no maintenance work, I have done absolutely nothing to move my business forward.  You know what happened to my income over this time span?  It was amazing!!!

Prior to the move, I was earning an average of $466/day… give or take a bit everyday.  When I promote my business, building a new site everyweek, promoting existing sites, I typically increase my income by $15 - $20/day.  During the last three weeks it has been interesting to watch what has happened.  The first week and a half, my income went up just like normal (from residual effects), in the last week and a half however it basically maintained a consistent level.  So, I didn’t work for 3 weeks and still averaged, $494/day for the three weeks!!!

This is amazing!!!  Do you realize what this means???  Build up your business, work on it consistently, maintain a strong foundation and when the time comes for you to take a vacation, or just some time off, you will know that while you are away, your buisness is still growing, is still bringing in money for you day in and day out.  If you work your business, truly treat it like a business, it will at some point work for you and that is an amazing feeling that is indescribable!!!

This lesson is the biggest one I can offer you from my experiences lately so really take it to heart and follow my advice… work your business like a business and it will eventually work for you!!!  I’ll talk to you soon!

Best Wishes,
Shannon

Have wondered how your move went. Maui is lovely. Your daily program is something I plan to attempt to follow. I must make sure I get the whole week together so I can have it at my side and in focus. All the best from Australia!

Great post Shannon! Very inspiring.

Consistency is what I struggle with most. Chasing the next “big thing”. But I’m working hard to get better.

I know you’ve been extremely busy but if you get a minute can you take a look at my reply on your last post about how/where you place the articles on your video review sites?

Thanks…you rock!

Hey Shannon: Thanks for sharing your move with us. What a wonderful move it is. I love Hawaii and envy you to live there. I know what you say is true. i just procrastinate too much and am really trying to get out of that habit. Your words are encouraging and I will keep at it. I can (and will) succeed, I know, if I just keep at it. Aloha and mahalo for all you ideas. Post a picture of your new view, if you can.

Hi Shannon,

What percentage of your income would you say comes just from “Video Cash Explosion” I ask this to try and figure out if most income is from “Video Cash Explosion”, or if most income comes from all of your other sites combined.

Thanks Mike.

Shannon,
We all want to hear more, please keep it coming!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your comments and for admitting that you struggle consistency… realizing and acknowledging this is a great way to now start on a new path :)

Mike - The income that I talk about in this post is 100% through VCE sites. They are in a different account than my products so it is very easy to separate them. I do earn an additional income from my products though… but not anywhere near what my VCE sites earn for me at about $100/day :)

Best Wishes,
Shannon

Were you living in my backyard all this time? You say you took a road trip from Montana to Oregon. I live in Missoula? Did I miss a chance to meet up with you for real?

I hope that I can follow your path and get to Hawaii also. I am more than inspired by your move, to make my online marketing a success. Thanks for sharing the real world of IM. with us.
