My Schedule - Friday
Aloha Everyone!!!
After 2 months (so sorry about that!) we are finally at the end of the week… Friday is finally here! I know that it always feels like Friday can’t come fast enough, but wow this has been the longest week of my life
Friday is my, “what do I need to get done” day! I spend Fridays working on anything that I need to get done for the week… Things such as:
- Research and choose a product for the new site that I will start on Monday
- Things I didn’t quite finish Mon - Thurs,
- A blog post,
- Building more links through things such as Onlywire, articles, bookmarking article sites that have my articles on them, making comments on blogs that are related to my products, submitting to more directories and/or completing more links for MyWayLinks.
This really is a day of catch up and/or preparation for the next week ahead. This may seem like a bit of an unorganized and/or lazy day compared to the other 4, but really this is a VERY important day for my business. It allows me to go into my weekend feeling relaxed, knowing I’ve accomplished a lot from my week and knowing exactly where my next week is headed. When I’m done on Friday, I know that I have done everything I can for my business that week and I also know that I am completely prepared for the next week giving me two days to do whatever we want to do :)
I generally spend 2 - 3 hours completing this work on Friday (just like every other day of the week). This means that I work somewhere between 10 - 15 hours a week, Monday thru Friday with my business. Really, this is not a lot of time but because I have been consistent with it, my business has grown leaps and bounds in the last year. And now, I am still only spending 10 - 15 hours on my business, but I live in Hawaii and get to spend a lot of time at the beach :) So keep going, you can make this happen for you!!!
When I started this last September, and I wasn’t using all the software I am now using to complete the work, I did spend more time on my business to get the work done, but even then it was generally no more than about 20 hours a week - with 2 boys, I don’t have more time than that :) Do keep in mind though that even though I spent more time, I wasn’t able to accomplish as much as I do now because I use the software. So once you build up your business and are bringing in some money, put some money into your business and invest in some (or all) of the software I recommend because not only does it save you time, it also doubles, triples, quadruples what you are able to accomplish
I loved the great questions that I received last week for my Thursday post, so please make sure you keep asking those questions!!!
Best Wishes,
Shannon

Aloha Shannon!!
You said that you spend time on things that you didn’t quite finish Mon - Thurs.
Lets say that today is Tuesday and you have to write 4 articles.Dont you ever fall in the trap of saying “Well if I dont finish the last article today I will finish it on Friday” after you write the first 3 articles..?
So when Friday comes you have a quite few uncompleted tasks that will steal your time from your research and choosing a new product time.
I often fall in this trap! I do postpone and Friday’s work become Monday’s work and Monday’s work became Tuesday’s work and Tuesday’s became Wednesday work etc…!
How do you accomplish all that steps in just 3 hours?!
I also wanted to ask you.
How do you chose your keywords? How do you know that these keywords are “buy keywords” and will convert for the affiliate product you are promoting?
Why did you stop building a list for these for these VCE websites?
Thank you for all your help.
