The Last Lecture Randy Pausch
Aloha Everyone,
Have you ever watched The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch? If you have not it is truly an amazing lecture to watch and experience. I watched it for the first time sortly after he did the lecture in 2008. When I first heard about it, I thought, ok I’ll check it out, but I don’t want to listen to a lecture…
Well, I sat there for 70+ minutes and watched the entire thing on YouTube. I was absolutely mesmorized! I truly believe that everyone should watch this lecture at least one time (I’ve watched/listened to it many, many times)… it is inspirational, funny, serious and enjoyable and can change how you look at your life in a matter of minutes.
What is so amazing about this lecture is that this guy isn’t a self-help guru, he wasn’t out to change your life, he wasn’t trying to get you to buy anything. He was simply giving what is known in the university setting as a last lecture and he was leaving a legacy for his family. This is suppose to be the lecture you would give if it was truly the last lecture you would ever give and the outcome of what he did was nothing short of amazing.

Now, on to the reason of my post. After the success of Randy’s lecture, he was offered to turn this lecture into a book and he did. I ordered the book off of Amazon, then before it arrived I found a copy for $.50 at a garage sale and couldn’t resist, so I have two copies :) Well, I love the book, but I don’t need two copies and I have decided to give one away. For anyone who has watched The Last Lecture and would like a copy of the book (the book is cool because he adds things to it that were not in his lecture), let me know and I’ll get a copy to you.
I guess the best way to do this is a first come basis, whoever raises their hand for a copy first, gets it… that simple. But please, please, please… only raise your hand if you have watched the video and truly want to read what Randy wrote, I would really appreciate it
Best Wishes,
Shannon
