Aloha!!!

I am constantly stressing keyword research and how important it is to your business!  Unless you already have a list of at least 10,000 people that love you and will buy from you time and time and time again or you are partnering up with an amazing JV partner that has that list… keyword research is more important than ANYTHING else you will do for your business!!!

Yes, that is a bold statement and YES I absolutely stand by it!!!

Lets start at the beginning…

Picking a niche that will be “easy” for you to make money in is hard to do, but if you complete some keyword research you can find out just how hard or easy a niche is going to be to rank high in the search engines with.  You can pick the niche first and then find keywords that match… that works too, but finding amazing keyword phrases then picking the products you are going to sell is actually a lot easier!

You can then choose a domain name based on the product or niche you are promoting, but by completing keyword research first and then using the perfect phrases you have found and then picking a domain name based on that will help you tremdously in the search engines.

Now we move onto building the website.  You can build a website without keyword phrases… without using any within the site.  You can build a website without properly incorporating keyword phrases into the site.  But you sure are leaving a lot on the table by doing that! 

It is estimated that when it comes to ranking within the search engines, 40% of the determining factors come from “On-Page” promotion… in other words, how you use your keyword phrases within your website itself.  Yes, I said 40%!!!  That is huge and you should not take it lightly!!!  You must complete keyword research and then incorporate your “perfect” keyword phrases into the webpage for every page on your site.  And you MUST incorporate them properly!

Now that you have all of that work done, you can start promoting your website.  However, you cannot promote your website in any way until you have your proper keywords… It is that simple!  If you do you will be wasting your time because you are not getting the full advantages out of any promotional efforts if you are not promoting the proper keywords.  Basically, if you are promoting your website with the wrong keyword phrases then you are wasting your time. 

I’m sorry to be so blunt, but you MUST get this! 

40% of the ranking factors for search engines come from on-page promotion, BUT that means that 60% come from “Off-Page” promoting…. 60%!!!  Why would you ever, ever, ever promote a website without knowing exactly whether or not you are going to be able to rank for a certain keyword phrase unless you have done your research?  If you do, you are simply setting yourself up for failure, there is no other way to put this! 

There you have it… from beginning conceptualization to completion and promotion, exactly why keyword research is more imporant than anything else you will do for your business!!!  You must complete it and you must complete it properly!!!
