I think many Adsense sites are going to get de-indexed in the coming months. A lot of marketers put a lot of effort into ADsense sites and dismissed affilate sales as too volatile and difficult. The put all in their eggs in Googles basket, so to speak. But when Google slaps them it can be a financial disaster. Your approach, imo, is far better.
